I am 11 years old and I was born in Tucson. I have always liked to take pictures as well as look at pictures.
I have been a 4-H member for 4 four years and this is my first year in photography with 4-H. I started out as a Clover Kid. I have been involved in the horse and dog projects for the past three years. This is also my first year in archery and scrap booking projects. I have also been a girl scout for more than six years.
I was showing my chihuahua at an Open Junior Show at the Brandi Fenton Memorial Park . We had a break between classes and my friends and I went to look at the butterfly garden. I took the camera from my mom to capture the beautiful butterflies. I love butterflies. If you haven't been to the butterfly garden I suggest you stop by for a visit. There are butterflies EVERYWHERE!!!
I took this picture with a Pentax Opteo E30 digital camera. I placed the setting on "flower" to capture the flowers as well as the beautiful butterflies. It was really hard to get the butterflies picture because they kept flying away so I just kept trying and was rewarded with a few good shots. The 4-H motto is "To make the best better," and that is exactly what I did. I didn't give up, and I was able to get this great picture of the butterflies.
Thanks to all the butterfly lovers that voted for me!
